March 19, 2010
The University of Manitoba Campus Association for Baha'i Studies in collaboration with MYRIAD, Rights and Democracy, Target Poverty and the University of Manitoba's Student Union would like to invite you to our upcoming forum entitled
The RIGHT to Education
As stated in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights "Education is both a human right in itself and an indispensable means of realizing other human rights". There are many situations worldwide in which individuals are not able to access their right to an education due to factors including: socioeconomic status, race and religion. The forum on the right to education hopes to raise awareness and call people to act on promoting equity, fighting global inequality and promoting human development locally and globally.
