UMSU proudly presents the annual EBC Charity Ball on Wednesday, December 23rd at the Republic Nightclub.

This formal attire annual charity gala seeks to donate the proceeds to support local, national and international charities and not-for-profit organizations.  The UMSU Finance Committee is currently accepting nominations for this year's beneficiary organization(s) from the campus community. Please complete the 2009 UMSU EBC Nomination Form and submit it to the UMSU office by December 7, 2009. Any questions regarding this event or the nomination process should be directed to the Chair of the Finance Committee, Jonty Chandrasena.

Tickets for the EBC Charity Ball go on sale the week of November 30 at Answers.

UMSU in collaboration with the University of Manitoba has launched a new initiative to promote more art and music across campus. CPAM (Collaboration to Promote Art and Music) seeks to improve the artistic and aesthetic environment at the University in a way that promotes the creative talents of the University’s students and encourages celebration and promotion of student engagement.

The University of Manitoba Students' Union (UMSU) has launched a new feature at www.umsu.ca that shows up-to-date information on student groups.

UMSU Council has five Community Representative seats that bring the voices of underrepresented and often marginalized groups to the governing body of our organization. These positions help Council to consider issues with a different perspective.

Currently, UMSU is accepting nominations for the position of International Students' Representative.
