All student senators sit on the Student Senate Caucus. The caucus is chaired by the UMSU Vice-President Advocacy, Murat Ates. The Student Senate Caucus meets the Monday prior to every Senate meeting at 6:00pm in the UMSU Council Chambers (176 Helen Glass). The purpose of the caucus is threefold. First, it gives the opportunity for students and UMSU to inform other students on the current events in their respective faculty and union. Secondly, it allows student senators to debate and discuss academic student issues. Lastly, it is an opportunity to review the Senate agenda, and draft any questions.
