Family Coverage

To be eligible for coverage, your dependent must be covered under a Provincial Health Insurance Plan or equivalent.  Your dependent becomes eligible for coverage when you become eligible or, if acquired later, upon becoming your dependent. You must have coverage in order for your dependants to be covered.

You must make written application at the Health & Dental Plan Office in order for your dependent(s) to be covered and you must pay the additional Family Coverage Fee to the University of Manitoba Students' Union.

Deadline to purchase Family Coverage for the Fall term is October 19, 2012.

For new students entering the University of Manitoba in the winter term the deadline to purchase Family Coverage is February 15, 2013.

Premium amounts are listed under Health & Dental Fees.
