Students already covered by an extended health and/or dental plan through a private plan, i.e. parents, spouse, employer, etc., can opt-out of the plan through an online opt-out process.
The opt-out process for Regular Session students is available from September 1 - 30, 2013, and December 16, 2013 - January 17, 2014 for new Winter Term students.
Important Steps to Opting-Out
First, ensure that you have been assessed the Health & Dental fees on your Aurora fee assessment.
Complete the online opt-out form. You will need to provide your alternate coverage information on the secure opt-out form.
IMPORTANT: Print your confirmation upon completion. You will also receive an e-mail for this step. You will then receive an e-mail once your alternate coverage has been verified. Hold onto this e-mail as verification of your successful opt-out..The e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you provide. At a later date, you may need to provide this e-mail as proof of your opt-out.
NOTE: You must opt out EVERY year.
