UMFM is a Campus and Community Radio station owned and operated by the University of Manitoba Students' Union (UMSU). UMFM is primarily run by volunteers comprising of students from the University of Manitoba, and community members in and around Winnipeg. Previously broadcasting back in the 1970s, the original CJUM was shut down due to financial difficulties, but due to popular demand, was brought back in 1998.
